Design and Manufacturing of Zero Gravity Electric Manipulator

Manipulators are used in industries to reduce the human effort for doing their day to day work. This paper deals with design and manufacturing of a Smart Manipulator - The Zero Gravity Electric Manipulator. The Zero Gravity Electric Manipulator would be able to negotiate the load as, an electrical hoist, pneumatic manipulators or electric actuator does. But with some contradiction as, it allows the operator to move the load as desired on a free path. The Arduino Uno based motor control system has to be designed and to be implemented along with the necessary actuation system. The proposed system will have the obvious advantages over the traditional pneumatic or electric based manipulator for its compactness, better response time, low maintenance, less complexity involved in load changes etc.Downloads
